Don’t Be Fooled by a House of Presstitution
The Russian lightening operation to disarm Ukraine is necessary for the survival of humanity. The Russians are preventing the immanent danger of nuclear war
This morning of February 27, 2022, a worried friend sent me this NYT article:
"Putin’s Aggression Leaves His Right-Wing Fan Club Squirming - The New York Times"
I wrote back reassuring her that this is empty propaganda and she should not believe it or worry.
To you, my friends on the internet, this is my reply:
This article is typical of the NYT now, corrupt as it is. It smells of the typical emotional blackmail that always characterizes propaganda:
“The Russian strongman”
“They looked up to the Russian strongman”
“Christian conservatism and bare-chested machismo”
“Fawning over him”
“Idolized by a Who’s Who of populist, nationalist leaders.”
“Like some other right-wing leaders”
“Putin’s aggressive nationalism”
“they are now stumbling over what to say”
I am not stumbling over what to say. I am personally offended by this propaganda, which is what it is, because it emotionally blackmails me, critics of the Ukraine/NATO/US connection just like me (but far more worthy of respect) and my friends on-line and in person. These phrases are meant to trigger or activate attitudes which have been previously ingrained in many people who are accustomed to accepting outlets like the New York Times, the Washington Post and the CBC as the (mostly) respectable bureaus of record they once were 20 years ago.
President Putin has been patient to a fault for 7 years while the tightening line of contention cutting through Donetsk and Lugansk has been bombarded on an almost daily basis by an army which is now 200,000 in number and being openly supplied with American heavy weapons, as Biden (himself heavily and profitably “invested” in Ukraine) has announced. This army contains elements of what we are supposed to call “nationalists” but which display themselves as fanatic Neo-Nazis sporting red and black fascist flags and patches with Wolf’s-Angel symbols – I refer to the Azov Battalion in particular. The Minsk Agreement of 2015 has never been taken seriously by the Ukrainian government because this government plainly has no control over the army that was massing to flood over Donetsk and Lugansk.
For me, it’s plain to see that the NYT, and this house of presstitution must be typical, means me and you to forget that in 2014 the Maidan Square violent putsch was cheered on by US Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and US Ambassador to Ukraine Jeffrey Piatt who were recorded arranging the installation of Yatsenyuk even as Oleg Tianybok was giving the straight arm salute and vowing to dedicate his life to “killing Russians and Jews”. Yatsenyuk and even Tianybok were “fawned over” by our own Prime Minister Steven Harper and by John McCain who both called a violent putsch “democratic". Soon after, Russians who objected to the take-over of people like this were burned alive in Odessa, which stimulated the population of Crimea to beg the Russian Federation to take them under protection. Otherwise the Ukrainian Nazis would have besieged Sevastopol and the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which would have put the world on the knife edge of nuclear war.
I have described this at length for quite some time on Facebook and now on Substack. I was surprised by the suddenness of the Russian attack. But I soon recovered because I remember the events of the Russo-Georgian conflict of 2008.
In June 2008 NATO proclaimed its intention to absorb Georgia and Ukraine, which would of course mean the installation of NATO/US nuclear ballistic missiles on their soil “legally”. In July 2008 NATO held its “annual” military exercise in Georgia with the participation of 1000 US troops. The Russia Federation under Medvedev’s presidency was not weak, intimidated or idiotic and so Russia prepared the Russian 58th Army in North Ossetia. In early August 2008, as anybody with a brain would have predicted, Georgian forces (without the US troops who had all gone home to Germany) shelled the capital of South Ossetia and began to drive north obviously to occupy and seal off the Roki Tunnel, the only practical road to Russia and North Ossetia. The Russian army was ready and poured through the Roki Tunnel, deployed and beat the Georgian forces in several days fighting. Having secured the surrender of Georgia and the guarantee of the re-instatement of autonomous status for the ethnic Russian South Ossetia and Abkhazia, Russian forces withdrew. Soon the president of Georgia, Saakashvili, was tossed out and Georgia became neutral and a non-nuclear, non-threat to Russia and to the very existence of the northern hemisphere if not human civilization or even the existence of the human race.
That is what is at stake when NATO, in defiance of promises given to Russia in 1991, presses ever eastward and puts nuclear first-strike weapons on the borders of Russia five minutes flying time from Moscow.
Treaties and guarantees and negotiations and conferences be damned to hell. And NATO be damned to hell where it belongs. The Cold War not only never ended it’s been deliberately heated up for 30 years. It is now far more dangerous than it was 30 years ago because the news bureaus like the NYT have been delivery systems for propaganda opium which has now made the populations of our western countries forget about the danger of nuclear war. This is the Cold War and it's only “new” because it’s deadlier than ever.
So I say phoney legalities be damned. Legalities like the Minsk Agreement, engineered to bind Russia but to be ignored by NATO, remind me of the Versailles Treaty and the Locarno Treaty whose legalities were only an opportunity for a resurgent Nazi Germany to paralyze France and Britain and start World War Two. Now we are in the early stages of World War Three. The issue of this war is the survival of the human species because any conflict between Russia and NATO in Europe will go nuclear in days or even hours.
The action of Russia now is to be compared to the Russo-Georgian conflict of 2008 in every aspect, starting with the never-rescinded determination of NATO announced in June of 2008 that nuclear missiles will be installed on Ukraine. Personally I thank merciful heaven that the Russian forces are fully capable of repeating in Ukraine what they did in Georgia in 2008. In fact Russian armed forces are far more capable than they were in 2008.
The brainless twittering and drooling of the New York Times is soaked in desperation. The foolish, deluded yammering of western leaders notwithstanding, President Putin has done the correct thing and we all should be grateful. Any Russian leader with his or her eye on the ball would have had to do the same thing because the survival of Russia is at stake and with it the survival of human civilization at least. It is NATO, not Russia, who are playing with the devil’s own toys to the immanent peril of us all.
In the mid-1980s, the US Pentagon announced that it could not disprove the nuclear winter theory according to which a full scale nuclear exchange between the USA and the USSR would send so much radioactive particulate matter up into the stratosphere that the planet would be blanketed in shade for years, destroying the ability for plants and soon for animals to survive this years-long global winter. In that event, said the Pentagon, “the extinction of human beings cannot be ruled out as a possibility.” Subsequent years have seen further scientific studies of the nuclear winter thesis that have proved that even a nuclear missile exchange between Pakistan and India – presuming that that could be contained – would send up such radioactive smoke and dust from the incineration of just a few of their cities containing tens of millions of inhabitants as would circle the globe and make the life support of Earth’s 8 billion a very doubtful prospect for years at least.
So I’m not fawning over President Putin but neither am I stumbling over what to say. I hope the Russian campaign will be as swift and decisive as the 2008 Russo-Georgian conflict and I believe I have good reasons to hope in its success.

Great post. Thanks. It's so ridiculous to claim anyone saying this is "right wing." In fact, quite a few people saying this are "left wing." Their "wing" is that they know the history of Ukraine in the last 100 years.
Well said, Jim. (It's me, Jaan, with a different color dog cartoon). I've been listening to the long slog of Fuellmich & Team's "Grand Jury." It's hours of expert witness testimony, and if I weren't so damn stubborn, I'd find it very difficult to listen to it, esp. with all the foreign accents and the bumpiness of non-professional video-making, bless 'em. I love those people, tho!! Listening to what's coming soon, which is the biggest economic crash of the biggest economic bubble ever seen, it's especially poignant to hear these financial folks talking about spirituality being the way through this. It provoked me to being brave, too, and you saw my post of this morning. We can all evolve, right now, dammit!! ;) But my heart is so big right now, I've never been much of a cryer (after babyhood), but it happens a lot these days, just looking at the trees, even. And as we stand at the cliff's edge, knowing we're in for a rough ride, most likely, I feel the swell of HEART and SPIRIT. I know you feel it too, and when we're not shouting in outrage, it's THE THING. I want to reach out and help rebuild our spiritual chasm in the west, and maybe in the world, I don't know about India, or other traditionally spiritually-oriented cultures, but it's time to stop the hurting and start the healing. That's where I'm at this Sunday morning. xo
