Trump Speaketh from On High: “It’s Going to be Tough”
Yeah. Right. Trump has never experienced “tough” in his life. None of his business, academic, social and political circle have one clue what tough really means.
These ladies could be my daughter and granddaughter if my life chances had been different. Young lady, I have been where you are. God bless and help you!
Sonar 21: DONALD TRUMP IS MAKING THE CASE FOR BRICS
By Larry C. Johnson, 9 April 2025
<<… The boys and girls on Wall Street heaved a big sign of relief today, with the stock market making historic gains, a welcome respite for the losses of the preceding days, when Donald Trump announced a 90-day pause in the severe tariffs, opting only to impose a 10% tariff across the board.
<< Well, not for everyone. Trump boosted tariff's on China and China responded in kind.Last night, at a Republican fundraiser in New York City, Trump made the vulgar, crass, impolitic comment about the 70 countries that have contacted his administration pleading for a tariff deal. Trump said:
<< “I’m telling you, these countries are calling us up, kissing my ass,” Trump told the National Republican Congressional Committee Dinner late Tuesday — just hours before the tariffs went into effect.
<< “They are. They are dying to make a deal. ‘Please, please, Sir, make a deal. I’ll do anything. I’ll do anything, sir!’” he said mockingly.
<< Even if true, this is a damn stupid thing to say. I don't think there are many countries, who contacted the Trump administration, that are feeling warm and fuzzy towards Mr. Trump. Humiliating trading partners is, at best, counterproductive. While Trump, as well as many of his ardent supporters, are celebrating this as a sign of American dominance, I suspect many of those countries seeking tariff relief are reconsidering whether they want to continue to be harnessed to the US dollar. Whether he acknowledges it or not, Trump made a great case for why nations should align themselves with BRICS rather than be economic hostages of fickle hegemon… >>
Larry C. Johnson points out some striking real facts about just who is really on the disadvantageous side of the US to China trade war. Long story short, Chinese people will not be put to any serious or long term hardship while American people will suffer a possibly fatal economic blow.
China can replace the soy beans and other products they have imported from the USA. They can trade with other countries for agricultural products and they can make and market internally – and to BRICS partners – the computers and furniture and appliances they now sell to the USA.
The American, ordinary, working people? They cannot replace Chinese goods. The domestic American manufacturing economy which Trump seems to want to stimulate has not existed for about 20 years.
Trump threatens 104% tariffs on Chinese goods coming into America? China calls that bluff, announcing 84% tariffs on American imports.
Trump is well and truly snookered. Now he has to carry out his threat or face political humiliation in DC. But is he even considering how ordinary working Americans will fare?
Larry:
<< Chinese exports to the United States in 2024 accounted for 13.4% of all US imports. The main categories of goods imported from China to the U.S. include:
<< Consumer Electronics:
• Smartphones, computers, and tablets dominate this category, with China accounting for 78% of U.S. smartphone imports and 79% of laptops in 2023.
• Other electronics include televisions, home entertainment systems, and lithium-ion batteries, which make up a significant share of imports
<< Machinery and Industrial Equipment:
• Includes auto parts, robotics, automation equipment, and construction machinery. This category accounted for $110 billion in imports in 2023.
<< Furniture and Household Goods:
• Wood and upholstered furniture, small home appliances (e.g., microwaves, air purifiers), and lighting fixtures are key products. Furniture alone accounted for $14 billion in imports.
<< Toys, Textiles, and Apparel:
• Toys represent over 70% of U.S. toy imports, while textiles and clothing made up $21 billion in imports in 2023.
Medical Supplies and Pharmaceuticals:
• Includes raw pharmaceutical ingredients and medical devices, accounting for about 30% of U.S. imports in this category… >>
Americans trying to buy some toys to reassure and comfort their kids. Americans who need a bed or a chair and will search for it at Walmart. Americans who need medicines and wheelchairs. Americans who work from home and apply for work and search for opportunities and maintain their small businesses on the internet. Americans who need that car to get to work or haul kids and groceries. Americans who transport food and goods on long haul trucks. Ordinary struggling working Americans who are on the edge of bare survival.
What does Donald Trump say to these people, many of whom hoped in him and voted for him? “It’s going to be tough”.
Yeah. Right. Trump has never experienced “tough” in his life. And he never will. None of his business, academic, social and political circle have one single clue what tough really means.
Larry:
<< Unless Trump does a carve out on Pharmaceuticals and Electronics, US consumers are going to be paying exorbitant prices for I-Phones, computers and critical prescription drugs. There is almost nothing that the US exports to China that is exclusive to the United States. Soybeans, for example, are a major US export to China. China will now probably turn to Brazil and purchase their crop [note -- China and Brazil already have a trade deal in place that bypasses the US dollar].
<< Trump claims to be great friends with Xi Jingping. In light of Trump's insults and crude behavior, I doubt that President Xi would count Donald as a good buddy. Trump and his team apparently believe they have the leverage in this battle and that the Chinese will blink and seek a negotiated solution. I think Trump and his advisors are dead wrong. China is not going to be bullied and will pivot from treating US as a valued trading partner. Trump's actions have removed any lingering doubts within the Chinese leadership that a viable trading relationship with the United States can be maintained… >>
Two YouTube videos I saw recently made a huge impression. This one yesterday adds anecdotal colour to other data I have seen which convinces me that the educated, working American people are on the edge of total impoverishment. They are hanging on to the appearance of a lifestyle for which "middle-class" is now perverted into a mocking ascription meaning "pampered" and "White". And "undeservedly rich at the expense of others”.
The Cost of Living in America is Making People Give up - YouTube
These people, including the lady whose YT channel this is, are far from privileged. They are working and in working they are forming and maintaining the productive framework of the US economy. They are working, bringing in at least one income per householder – as much as $100k per household or more – and still they can barely afford rent, utilities, transportation and even food. And their credit is maxxed out.
I did not copy the link to the previous YT video which adds the kicker to this frightening picture. It was by a young American man who showed how the means whereby he works and lives and sleeps in a decent bed and checks on the weather and basically lives a decent civilized life, are all Chinese products. Because that's what a person like himself can afford. He points to everything upstairs and down that is of Chinese manufacture. Bed, stove, easy chair, dining table, pillow, computer, pots and pans, clothes, refrigerator and everything in it…
I'll add another stream of data I'm getting via YouTube from a former real estate agent in Florida, Micheal Bordenaro. Mike has expertise and sources to confirm that the American residential housing market is ready to implode. Housing prices are a bubble sustained by credit and self-delusion. It will not take much to produce a population of struggling working Americans who have no choice but to default on their mortgages [and car loans and rent and ...]. These home owners really don't own their 30 year mortgages on cheaply constructed houses they bought for $2M ten years ago and now are asking $5M for. They are deluding themselves.
Trump is deluding himself. His class of people have NO IDEA what country they are now living in. The American economy of even 15 years ago is gone for the duration. The duration of what? The duration of the global war for hegemony of the Euro-American-Zionist Empire, the attempt to conquer and colonize Eurasia.
Trump and team think this is America's war for US hegemony. Reality is that the USA is being destroyed just like Mexico or Germany or Britain or any and every nation, first, second or third world. The masters of this imperial enterprise want the GLOBE. They are International, transnational. They are marching to annihilate all borders. That's what Yuval Harari and Klaus Schwab are talking about. And all the other stooges and court jesters like them.
The Club of Rome, Trilateral Commission, WEF ... they are the same as the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, DuPonts and Fords who financed Hitler throughout the 1920s and 1930s for the same purpose as what their direct [ideological and even biological] descendants now hold.
Trump doesn't know it but he is hastening the inevitable failure of this empire of lies.
The Atlanticist imperial wars, cold and hot, have educated Eurasia. Russia and China have prepared their defences against what they have feared, the economic implosion of America. I hope and I believe that the survival of Eurasia and BRICS will save all of the world from the collapse of the global economy which the collapse of America will precipitate.
Trump's main job (and Biden and Obama's too) is to break the back of the US dollar so that the Federal Reserve will be in charge of our money (not us).
Good job. I like Larry Johnson. He tells it straight out, but I'm not sure if he's aware of the so-called "Black Nobility," or maybe he's playing it close to the vest...
THE IDEA for many decades now, has been to break and undo America. The past few decades, and especially the past few years, have been clearly a roadmap for doing just that, and set up by TRAITORS of our own (speaking as an American) ranks, so to speak. The military hegemony has been on the skids since Viet Nam, as far as I can see. And I agree, we are going to crash like all giants crash... Falling from great heights to the ground, and making a biggo HOLE in it.
Heaven help us, because most of Americans are utterly clueless, and uneducated in the ways of Evil, and therefore, in my view Not To Blame, but to be learning very, very hard lessons on behalf of those who brought this upon us... Which generally ends up with that Awakening Factor, and then a big purge of all the Bad Guys that can be found, and a general picking up of the pieces.
But this time around, I'm hoping for, and feeling that it's a pretty good bet, that things will really, really change, in Very Significant Ways. I hope so, anyway. It's TIME.
